Recently I have been loving my Coconut Milk. (My friend put me on it)
It took me a little while to get used to the texture, but now I use it with everything!
((I just enjoyed a little Ice Coffee with tons of Coconut Milk in it= Latte'ish!))

And knowing everything that its good for just makes it all better!

Car Shopping

I am not that familiar with cars , not at all... but I will tell you that my first car was a Honda Fit 11years ago! This was Before the Fit was here in the states.
And in-between I have driven other brands, all very nice but I always seem to go back to Honda!
I love Honda;)

So today I upgraded my CR-V today and love it even more.
Perfect for carrying my friends around or rolls of fabric for my line.

I can see us getting along REAL WELL!

Today my friend and I stopped by one of my new favorite stores, Virgo!
Its a hole in the wall here in Downtown LA, but to my surprise many fashionista's know about this place!
They have all the little things you need to complete your outfit. And they also by used and re-make it to make it look cool and HIP again! The staff are super cute, amazing and super nice!
So nice that she let me put up the "PRAY FOR JAPAN" tee I designed for Red Cross Donations!
And she had it hanging up !!

FIDM Japan Relief Week

As of yesterday, fashion school FIDM started their "Japan Relief Week"
I was there setting up and selling the tee shirts we produced so that all the proceeds will go to Red Cross to help everyone effected in the Earthquake/Tsunami in Japan.

Everyone came by to say hi and donate a little of their lunch money;)
Everyone is so nice.

The girls looked so darn cute!
They would buy the tee and change right away!!!

The event is going on all week at the student activity area!
Tee shirts are still available for purchase(limited.. But some still available!)

Tomorrow (wed) they are having a bake sale to raise money!!!

Calling all Fashionista's that wanna HELP!

For the past month now I have been working with a new company. They do mainly distribution to Japan. So everyone in the office is bilingual and there is a lot of Japanglish going on:)
One of our interns is half Japanese who goes to FIDM and she has family who was right there in the middle of the earthquake and didn't hear back from her relatives until 10days after the quake. They are safe and sound now, but still no food or bottled water.
(TO THIS DAY!!!the quake was on March 11th..almost a month ago)
Well, our lovely Intern has hooked us up with FIDM and we have made a tee shirt to sell at their Japan Relief that will be happening from the 11th of April until the 15th.All proceeds will be going to Red Cross. And the tee's will be on sale all week.
I will be there on Monday! and hoping to see all you fashionista's there !!

Not many of us know that there are two basketball teams that represent LA....we know LA Lakers...but we didnt know much or anything at all about LA CLIPPERS
At least my husband and I didnt know:(
We found out when everyone else did, at this years All Star Game , when star player Blake Griffin flew over a scion to slam dunk for a commercial!
We got a good deal on Living Social and got to see Blake play on his birthday!!

My husbands birthday and Blake's are a day apart:)

We had lots on fun, and time flew by quick!
But....Clippers LOST:(

Ever since March 11, 2011 , when I saw on the TV screen the first shots of the Tsunami eating up Japan, I have been feeling so sad, and so down. My heart hurt every time I turned on the TV to only hear more of the tragedies.
I thought to myself that there was nothing I could do to help.Since I cannot make it out there I am worthless.
But thats not true.Everyone can help and be a part of rebuilding Northern part of Japan.
As of now, no one is actually allowed up there, so all we can do here is donate.
Donate your morning coffee money (make coffee at home) Or donate that one drink that you were planning on getting at that fancy bar (or have someone buy you a drink while you know you are helping someone in Japan)
There are families out there that need food, water, blankets anything and everything. They have lost a lot.
If you are going thru a tough time yourself, you can donate your old shoes to Sports Chalet
Find your way to help.(make sure they are not scams!) Try to stay with the RedCross or the RedCross Japan.
The donations so far is far behind compared to Haiti...http://www.blindbatnews.com
A philanthropy newspaper reports that international non-profit donations to help Japan, one week after the 9.0 quake, total $87 million.
Haiti received $275 million in donations to non-profits one week after their big quake. Areas hit by Hurricane Katrina saw $522 million one week after that disaster.

Come on you guys!!! We can do better than that!!!

Hanami Styling!

During the end of March begining of April Japan has this amazing tradition called "Hanami" which means " Flower Viewing"
We all sit around the Cherry Blossom Tree's and enjoy the beauty with food and drinks!

I just found out that I will be in Japan during that exact time! The last time I went to a hanami was probably when I was living there about 7 years ago!

There is this website in Japan called BUYMA.

When the day of my birthday came all u could think of was "so glad to be home" " I just wanna relax" So I did just that!
I made myself lunch and ate it in bed!!

For dinner I called the family to eat Korean BBQ ! With some Yogurtland for treats

Then decided to go dancing.
And since that night was the NBA All Star game all the clubs were packed and hard to get into!
So right when we had kinda given up, my husband calls his friend and we get into the hottest party of the night!!
When we walked in Ice Cube was on stage and before that was Nikki Minaj ! The night ended with Rick Ross!!

So much fun;)

In Vegas there is this little spot called Osaka that has all izakaya kind of foods.
Here us where we closed for all the shows;)

For dinner I switched up my denim shorts for some Tsubi jeans. And my white shirt to a Elisabeth and James silk short top. Oh and my Jeffrey Campbell boots;)

And before the night fully ended I joined a few friends for a drink or two at the Ghost Bar in the Palms Hotel.
It was on the 55th floor and had an outside dancing room which was beautiful

Here I am again headed to Vegas for the shows. So used to the drive now that I enjoy doing it alone;)

It was a nice mellow drive. Beautiful skies

My driving companion; his name is Mr Hearts. He was a gift from my husband for valentines day<3 ( we are always apart and I always feel bad...;( .... But one day we will be together on this love day!!)

I rented a car this time. It's a Toyota sports car type of machine. Really smooth.

The day I get in from Dallas after the sleeping in airports long day, I get a phone call from a god friend visiting from Japan.
And he tells me that he is only here for one day and its his Birthday!
There was no way I would let him go home without me seeing him! So I got all ready to go out!
Curled my hair lightly and hold it for a little:)

Packed my car up early Sunday morning and headed down to Culver City. I myself go to flea markets when ever I can. But I cannot remember when was the last time I had an actual yard sale!

I forgot how much work and also how much fun it is!

I sold more than I thought:) And got to meet some very cool people!

I even got to meet a green bird!

The owner of the beautiful home made us all some Curry and these super adorable polka dot,stripes mini roll cakes! Soooo Yummy! Aren't these so cute?!

Thank you all for coming out. It was a Super Bowl Sunday...I understand how hard it is to come out...(all my friends were at a party of some sort)

LA weather is getting warmer and warmer by each day, so it really makes you start to think "What am I gonna wear for Spring?"
So thru all my research thru all the Spring Summer 2011 collections (the good and the bad)
I have found two of my favorite colors pop up again! Those colors are the Coral and the Pink (both hot and powder)
If I am can remember correct the pop color trend was here last year for 2010 BUT I do not remember anyone actually trying it!
Not even I tried.... These are those colors that you love looking at in the magazines with the models laying out on the beach beds in Greece or some island that you only visit in your dreams with their perfectly tanned bodies and sparkling cheekbones in the foreign bright sun.
So this year I actually might have to try. Wether it be a nail polish, lip gloss or even a pair of socks that peek thru my summer sandals. Gonna have to start my hunt pretty soon.
It's everywhere!
Even the first minute of the H&M SS11 video, its all pink x coral dress, zipper trim, peeking thru the sleeves.

It seems to be that every time I get together with my friends now we always head out to K-Town!

And you know what! I do not have a problem with it what so ever! There is always a new spot to go to and the food is amazing!

Last night my friends that were visiting from Japan, it was their last night!!

So we went out to So Hyang Korean Restaurant

Ramen in West Hollywood!

My friends were craving ramen , in my head I was thinking "great...ramen...LA is terrible when it comes to Ramen!...oh noooo"
Then when they told me it was down the street from Crecent Heights, I thought "what!! this cannot be good..."
So we get there, and its this new restaurant I had never seen before, apparently they opened in October or November, so this is very new. Robata Jinya.We walk in and its flooded with people. Even the outside patio area was packed. (this was a friday night)
But since of my girl friends knew the girl who works there, we were seated right away! :)
The atmosphere was nice, kinda dark and simple.
They have other things on the menu, but our bellies were only thinking of Ramen! You can choose from Tokyo , which is the lighter soups to Kyoto (spicy) and Osaka, Hokkaido all the way back to Yokohama (which I guess is the heaviest!)
The soup is all pork based (Tonkotsu) So it will be heavier than the original Shoyu (Soy Sauce) base soup.
I got the Tokyo.
And.... it was soooo Yummy! The noodles and soup and all was perfect! Hit the spot.
I was amazed that I can NOW , Finally get good Ramen in LA! yaaaaaay!
My friends also ordered the Tsukune. This was also very yummy with all the 3 sauces!

Will be for sure returning here to Jinya. Maybe on a week night so I can sit and eat right away.

I had seen his photo and stopped, then I looked it up on netflix and there it was "Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Impassioned Eye"
Just saw this and am so inspired. He is such a brilliant photographer! Every shot is just as amazing as another.
You have to remember that back in 1930~ there was no photoshop, no digital photo ( you do not know what you get till you develop!) His photo's are black and white and tells so much of a story.And the way the lines,bodies etc are laid out , it makes your eyes go all over on the photo.
My explanation is very poor, I apologize.

Christmas Eve

It is a tradition to eat Mexican
Food on Christmas Eve at my mother-father-in-laws!

We enjoyed some Tamale's, Taco's and Chips with Salsa galore!!

It was all soo yummy;)

I had to stuff myself!

Christmas in Arizona

About an 8 hour drive from
LA. We just got here in beautiful Arizona. (^O^)
This year we will be spending Christmas here!

Rent a car!!!!

I have a little cold(~_~;), so I took a nap on the way with this cute Pendleton Towel I found at UO!
I still want all colors. So worth it!

Arizona skies are always beautiful. Took some time to take pix at the rest area.

Hello from a very chilly Japan!

I have been staying at this Hotel near Nihonbashi. Here you can find many traditional Japanese restaurants. And one of my favorites is Tonkatsu.
Which is breaded Pork or Beef meat. It is a bit heavy , so I try to eat it on days I know I will be walking around a lot.
Usually it comes with a bowl of rice and a bowl of some miso soup.
I better watch out!!! Japanese food is too good:)

And then I cannot stop looking for yummy or cute snacks!
